Beef Bulgogi

INGREDIENTS:

·      1/2 YELLOW ONION, THINLY SLICED

·      3 INDIVIDUAL SCALLION STALKS CUT DIAGONAL

·      1 ½ POUND OF THINLY SLICED RIBEYE OR SIRLOIN

·      1 TBSP SESAME OIL

·      ½ TBSP SESAME SEED

BULGOGI MARINADE

·      4 TBSP SOY SAUCE

·      3 TBSP BROWN SUGAR

·      8  CLOVES OF GARLIC (CHOPPED)

·      2 TBSP MIRIM

·      ¼ TSP GRATED GINGER

·      1 TBSP HONEY

INSTRUCTIONS

1-   IN A BOWL MAKE THE MARINADE BY MIXING ALL INGREDIENTS BY WHISKING THEM TOGETHER.

2-   ADD THE YELLOW ONION

3-   ADD THE SLICED BEEF TO THE MARINADE AND MIX CAREFULLY.  SET ASIDE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES (BEST IF MARINADE OVERNIGHT)

4-   HEAT A PAN TO MEDIUM TO HIGH HEAT AND DRIZZLE 1-2 TBSP OF THE SESAME OIL

5-   REMOVE THE MEAT FROM THE MARINADE ADD TO THE MEDIUM HIGH PAN, TOSSING THE MEAT OCCASIONALLY UNTIL COOKED THROUGH AND EDGES ARE CRISPY

6-   REMOVE FROM HEAT, TOSS IN THE SESAME SEED, PLATE  AND GARNISH WITH SCALLIONS
